Help & troubleshooting
Displays are designed to tell you what they're doing — every screen state means something. If one looks stuck, this page explains what to check.
What the screen is telling you

Managing a display
- Set content — open the display and click Open Studio to compose slides, build the slideshow, add widgets (clock, date, weather, text) and set schedules. For something quick, use Quick set on the display page to put a single web page or a short message on screen.
- It updates within ~15 seconds. Media is downloaded and cached on the display, so it keeps playing even if the connection drops. Press Reload to force an update.
- Rotate — set orientation (normal / 90 / 180 / 270) on the display page.
- Timezone & daily restart — set under System on the display page.
- Reboot / Reload / Screenshot / Identify — buttons on the display page.
Why nothing "just freezes"
Every network call times out, retries back off (so a failing display never rapidly restarts), the media player recovers from a bad item, and a watchdog restarts the agent if it ever wedges. When something is wrong, the screen or the status page shows the reason rather than sitting blank.
